To Anybody interested in doing this,
First off, it appears to be anonymous. I went through it and it never asked
for my personal info, like name and address. unfortunately, that makes the
odds of winning the fifty bucks a little bit higher than 1 in 50. More like
0 in 50. Plus, it seemed like their server was a little slow, but YMMV.
Secondly if you didn't notice it, this particular survey is from psychology
students or whatever. There are a few questions about how the pain feels,
but mostly it's questions on how you feel about your pain. Naturally being
headshrinkers, there's an underlying theme about addiction, but it's not as
bad as many of these kinds of things are.
It's kind of disappointing in a way. They ask you if you feel anxious
because of the pain, but not why. No opportunity to chime in on the sad
state of affairs in the treatment of pain. No questions about being treated
like crap in the doctors office, the pharmacy or the ignominy of being urine
tested like a criminal. The closest they got was a question on feelings and
if you had any guilt. Lots of anger questions but not why you might be
pissed or at who.
So it's not whole hog addiction, just how you feel about your pain
situation, with no who's, whys, or what's, just a small fraction of the
whole they should know and even less of what you probably feel like telling
them.
If you want to kill a half hour...you could always give Yahoo's Daily
Crossword Puzzle a shot too--og

Hello!
Members of this group were recently invited to participate in a
project designed to increase understanding of chronic pain. We are
writing to request your participation again.
Please go to the following link to participate in this study or read
below for further information.
http://www.questionpro.com/akira/TakeSurvey?id=1045675
Specifically, we are conducting a study on persons with chronic pain
who are involved in online support groups. We are inviting
participants (age 18 and older) who have been and are currently
experiencing a recurrent or ?nonremitting? chronic pain condition for
at least 3 months to complete an online survey. It is anticipated that
this survey will take 45-60 minutes of your time to complete.
Participants who complete the survey may elect also to be entered into
a drawing to win one of twelve $50 VISA gift cards. We expect to have
approximately 600 people complete the survey. If everyone enters the
drawing your odds of winning one of the gift cards would be 1 in 50.
This study has been approved by Spalding University?s Research Ethics
Committee in support of dissertation requirements for the completion
of a doctorate of psychology (Psy.D.) degree. If you have any
questions regarding this study, please feel free to contact Kristen
