Dear Sha,
Please don't ever feel like you don't belong or are relegated to
living on the fringe of the group. This is YOUR group. It's yours
simply by participatiing. There's no moderator, Nobody is in charge.
Or rather we are all in charge of ourselves. So people don't know how
to handle such feedom and openness very well. Here if you don't like
what someone says, screw 'em. Don't worry about it. If you post a
question and don't get an answer, don't be afraid to post it again.
Try and be sure you start a new thread or topic. Some people post a
question in the middle of a conversation and the question gets lost.
If you make it it's own topic, people can see it better.
Don't feel like the multitude of issues you have makes your situation
too complex either. When you boil all our issues down, they may all
come for different ailments, but they problem is the same - What in
the world do you have to do to get relief from pain for a while. There
is unfortunately no single answer for everybody. Medication may help a
large bit of the people in here, but not everyone, and the trick is
the right medication at the right dose. I don't know how many
different pills you may have tried for relief, and that's probably a
good place to start. There may be something out there you aren't
alergic to that you just haven't tried yet. Not only that, but there
is new stuff coming along all the time. So never give up. If there
really is nothing around that's going to help you today, nobody can
tell what tomorrow might bring. Hope might be the best medicine of
all.
So I expect to see you posting plenty. Like I said, a good thing to
start with might be a medication history. That's something that the
majority of us have had experiences with, so you should get input and
suggestions from a fair number of folks.
Stay in touch. Ok?.--og

Hi Folks,
I hate getting involved in these kind of things, but I hate what it
does to the group even more. We have lost people because of abusive
posting (without bringing up any names) and I can't help but wonder
how many people may have serious questions they need answered but are
afraid to post anything. It's not like this is freecycle, there are
some heavy things discussed in here.
When you look in a thread, at the very top of each post, you will see
the writers name. Right next to that is a hyper-text link that says
"view profile". That will will take you to the writers profile page,
it doesn't make any difference if they put any profile info in there
or not. At the bottom of the profile page, you will find a "button"
that says "report this profile". That takes you to the reporting page,
where you can pick out the type of abuse you see. You also have an
opportunity to write a short bit about it. You hit send and it's on
its way. It does work, particularly when someone has a history of
abusive behaveior and has had posting privilidges suspended in the
past.
If anyone feels intimidated by something they read here, please, don't
leave. Voice your concerns. Odds are others are just as frustrated,
but trying to carry on as normal. You have every right to use this
forum and be treated like a human being. No one has the right to
belittle and abuse you. Stand up to bullies. You'll find you aren't
standing alone.
Wishing you all painless days. --og
Thanks I have been avoiding posting or using this group because I have
felt I am too complex for the group.I suffer 24/7 with above chronic
pain, made worse because of severe autimmune allergies, which does not
allow me any pain-relief medication,medical treatments,surgury.at
first I felt many members caring warmpth and I gave caring warmpth as
well as support and what help I can give.I have been bullied out of
some other groups,it's hard 2 stand up for oneself when I have
suferred a lifetime of abuse & Torture from my adopted parents, when I
am forced 2 live in a town whom treats me as an outcast.Mainly b'cause
ppl just cannot fathom someone could have so many health problems-
severe pain & judge me cause I am also legally Blind & hearing
impaired,as well as have aquired brain injury all causing me 2 make
mistakes.A feat in itself just to get the usenet symbols right,I
posted a question about my neck pain, but no-one bothered 2 answer
me,felt ignorred. Not meaning the time I commented about the moderators
of group,I didn't take that reply offensively,as there was to me
humour in it,but I have felt judged,too complex,useless.what really
got to me was being told that I was welcome just to talk my feelings
out,not really participate in the group.I won't name names,It wasn't
abusive or offensive just really hurt my feelings,so I stopped posting.
4 some reason I thought I just might have a look tonight Ausiland
time. You & the other wonderful humanbeings supporting your comments
may bring me back.Guess a lot og those whom have targetted me have
used very subtle forms of abuse coming from my brother standing
besides me.(Pathfinde...@xxxxxxxxxxx) if anyone wishes 2 email him he
telling me,he also suferres from chronic pain, silently suffers.I also
found it helps 2 ease my pain if or when I can offer help, support, kind
words, advise to anyone in this group.Hard enough without
bullying, judgements, subtle or blatant eh!hope everyone is as well as
can B,doesn,t hurt 2 lighten up a bit,but yes people join this group
for real support.- Hide quoted text -
