Re: what's up?

Top! I am glad you are happy with your choice. I am having my third revision Thursday. I think I will be really happy afterwards too. At my place you leave the same day. I am glad that I take the surgeries well.

As bionic as I ever want to be. I think I'm off my feed more because the
implant procedure. This is two body resets (implant prodcedures, 1 was the
temp) I've gone through in what for me is a short period of time.

The surgery was about 2 hours or some less. They got me up walking the
same day which was not easy but I made it a few steps. Went home the next
day and have been walking a little more each day. This will be the second
week since the suregery and I will have to drive about 40 miles round trip
to pick up some meds. Wife can get off if I just can't drive but I don't
think drving should be a problem.

After they took the trial STS out I didn't understand why they didn't rush
to implant the permanent one. Now that I've been reminded that All body
systems have time to recover I wish they had taken more time.

So far I'm glad I've done it. Still some tweaking to do with the
programming but that is minor.

Take care,

Dear Top

So you're bionic now? Are you off your feed from the implant
procedure or the taper of your meds? Even if the SCS is going to
eliminate your need for painmeds, you still need to taper and the more
gradual the better. I'm sure you know that, I just felt oblidged to
point it out. Do you think its going to do enough to trash your Rx's?
I hope so.
I definitely want to hear how it's doing, and how the surgery went,
while it's still fresh in your mind. You can drop an email if you'd
rather.

Wishing you excellent results--og

I know I'm a little late getting in on the thread but I've been off-line
for computer and health reasons. I've finally had my permanent STIM
implanted and that has kept me off my feed for a few days. We're getting
the programming fine tuned on it and I'm doing better. I've been cutting
back on the pain meds and I am excited about that.

More later if you have questions.
