I think I found something that might help my neuropathy.
Before I was diagnosed I took Blood Pressure meds and I'm still taking
them.
I BP is normal in the office but is low at home, which is natural.
But sometimes its too low.  I mean 110/70 is kinda low.
I just read that low bp could contribute to neuropathy by not giving
the area enough blood.  The kindof BP meds I take slow down your heart
rate, so I'm not getting enough blood to my extremities, including my
feet.
So I am going to take my bp meds later today and see if I feel better,
but I will keep taking my bp to see if it increases, if it does, then
I'll take my pill earlier.
I usually take it early in the day, but I should take it later in the
day when I don't need to walk as much.  I am going to ask my doctor if
I can cut the dosage in half for a while to see what happens.
I feel better already!

It's probably going to take a little longer to see results than I
think u seem to think, but everything that helps the circulation
helps.  First thing I was told (b4 rsd cuz I can't wear them
now...can't stand anything touching area) is to get some compression
stockings.  Yes, they make em for men too!  Also, a lot of ppl w/
Diabetic neuropathy (tho I'm not diab.) take a supplement called
"Alpha Lipoic Acid".  Along w/any others that help circulation...I
couldn't take it cuz it upset my tummy waaay too much, but that's me.
Excercise helps (walking) if u can.  Just anything that's going to
improve circulation.  If u smoke, guess what?!!  gotta quit! Drink
coffee (indeed I do), cut way back (not ez!)
That's all I can think of for now except for whirlpool...most helpful!
good luck!

Thanks LoriBoB,
I'm trying to cut down on coffee, but that's difficult.
I found this website if it helps anyone..I know it will take a while
to see if my BP meds cause some PN, but I would notice any help right
now.
