I had the worst time with Nausea when going through chemo and again
now with pain problems but nothing like when I was at my sickest. I
tried everything. Zophran was the only thing that worked but at $2200
a month (30 pills) it was hard to get. It can run as high as $4300
depending on the r/x.
Its hard to down a pill when you have dry heaves. Suppositories are
out when your running out the other end as much. Compozine
suppositories are excellent for nausea but they made me sleep for two
days. I slept good tho. Here in Washington State we have medical pot.
When your running out both ends it is the only thing that works. I
hate the stuff but it was what kept me alive when I went through
chemo. Those are the only options I can think of. I still struggle
with Nausea due to my meds but not on the level your doing right now.
I just wait it out or take a comopozine if I can't stand it. If it
gets really bad I could always go and hang out in the alley behind the
shell station where the teens are and get a contact buzz. <eg>
I would consider changing to a doctor who understands pain management.
It took me a few before I could find one who understood and would help
me with different approaches.
