Mike, I feel your pain... After 5 years on meds, I just weaned off of all
of them and I can't say I'm too happy... My head is clear though for the
first time in a long time.
I can also totally relate to the depression. I was depressed way before the
back problem. I agree very strongly with Old Goat. You've got to take care
of the depression or you'll sit at home and feel sorry for yourself and do
nothing. That black cloud just smothers any
hope for a better life. You just can't see anything else but your pain and
f'd up life.
But, anti-depressants are very individual and what works for some doesn't
work for others. They all have side affects - some more tolerable depending
on your body chemisty.

Listen pain will drive you crazy but i want to say using pain meds is
not the answer it only a short term soultion. pain medicine doesnt
cure the bigger picture. I have been on everything percocets
kadain and fentaynl patches now up to 125mgh I was a job coach
teaching mentally retardation adults how to do simple task I had a
350 lb man ran after me i never saw it coming and rammed me head
first in my back. cause major trauma spinal cord compression which
doctor relieve presssure on. 3 disc gone. anyway im permently
disabled for life according to workers comp judge anyway i still
live in regret becuse i want to go back to work. i cant get over
that
