Ahh...I am still kinda thinking of this like a TENS unit, only it's inside
of you. That's really the only way I have been able to understand it. So
it's like having more "pads" on you?

The electrodes are at the business end of the lead. Well, actually not
only at but ARE the business part of the wire!

When they program the SCS they can give you a few that will cover
different areas (or overlapping areas). The lead's electrodes cover a
pretty fair area. You just need to tell them and make sure when you get
the lead implanted that you feel the stimulation in all of the areas that
you usually have pain. There are usually eight electrodes/lead. If I am
not making sense just let me know. I haven't been doing too well lately
and my posts have been way less than clear. Too tired, too much pain...

sometimes to his detriment. His knee is really giving him problems but
he refuses to get it taken care of. I guess I am gonna have to force
him..lol.

So anyway next I guess I get the test one done. Gonna be hard to tell
them exactly where the pain is because it can differ from day to day.
That's one of the things I am concerned about is they get the permanent
one in and the pain is in a different spot. Say lower back and the next
day it's mid back. That would suck. I wonder if they can fix it where
it will hit different spots? Anyone know?

Thanks for being there guys. I hope I can return the favor. I know I
don't post much here, but trust me I am following everyone and I do pray
for you all every night..and for those that are having a tougher time
than usual I pray twice :) Just holler if I can ever do anything at all
for anyone here ok? Really...
