I was OK on Remicade! I didn't have any problems but it's DEFINITELY what works one works for... that one. :-)

Dear Charley,.
Remicade is a drug for RA (Rheumatoid arthritis) and Chrohns disease. It's got a lot of side effects. Before it was approved for use in humans in was used in veterinary care. It was killing dogs left and right with heart attacks. Since it was just the family pet, nobody cared.
I am glad to hear it's doing well for you. At the time I wouldn't put my dog on it, but as dogs age (if you have an elderly one you know) those later years go by far too fast. It's like somebody put your best friend in a time machine and put the switches all on turbo, and you can see changes almost daily. But your post gives me hope and I'm definitely checking with the vet about her starting Remicade, even though they want to do some frequent monitoring of organ functions.
Thanks for the reminder--og
