Tomorrow I have to go and see a surgeon at the Institute for Foot and Ankle
Reconstruction. I am afraid they are going to tell me that I have to have
surgery. I am even more afraid that they are going to tell me there is
nothing that can be done, in which case I will be up the creek without a
paddle. I keep trying to calm my fears and turn the situation over to God,
but it's not easy, is it?

There truly is nothing to fear, but fear itself. What will be will
be. Why worry about today, that which may not bite you on the ass
tomorrow?

Personally I am very, very cautious when seeing any type of Surgeon.
I've never had one do anything other then recommend "Let's open up the
hood & see what we've got."
