Good day to all, & I hope your health is good. I have Degenerative
Disc Disease, & some Arthritis in my spine, but it only gets me down
every couple of years, & usually goes away. Now, I just had an
operation on the L 5 disc "cleaned out" of gel leaking out. Had
minimal buttocks, & privates numbness, now I have a lot more numbness
of most of same side bottocks, privates, heel, left side of foot, &
back of thigh. It feels really strange, & actually gross to touch my
thigh. Nerve is, or had gotten "stretched" while being operated on...I
guess. I'm quessing the Surgeon "disturbed" this nerve while doing the
operation. She says the numbness should go away in a few weeks.
Operation was done so as to prevent "paralysis", & or loss of bowel, &
bladder control. Overall pain is very little..mostly stiff in the back
area. Pain was only bad for a few weeks, & was terrible, but went
away. Couldn't stay upright for even three minutes at a time, &
"magically" lying down made the pain go totally away within a few
minutes each time. Numbness had stayed all the past two months. Can
anyone shed some light? Why is there much more, & worse numbness?
Thanks, Robin.
