Re: Can I join?

OG - You are cracking me up!! Always a good read :)

I normally hide on the back wall, but get pulled to the front
occasionally, Welcome. I am among the younger crowd here as I am 29
and suffer from RSD/CRPS, lower extremities. For the most part I just
enjoy reading what people have to say, instead of participating. :)

Dear Trisha,

You got chickens?!?  Do they begin to cackle about a half hour before sun
up? Sleep deprivation, maybe?
At the old house, I had some neighbors at the end of the block (this is in a
down town suburban type community; you can't swing a cat without hitting
your neighbors cat) who had/have chickens. I was at the middle of the block,
these guys were at the end, and it was a fairly long block.
I caught all the 4am cackles, the 5 am crowings, and the 5:30- 6:00
cluckings. By then all the trash trucks in the county (we lived on a great
cut through street with a coffee joint they seemed to have daily morning
union meetings at) rolled trough with all the other government vehicles in
town. Finally about 10am traffic would get light enough to doze- till the
noon lunch people began their roll...
But it all started with those chickens.

I was going to try earplugs, but I didn't think the chickens would wear them
and they'd wake up at 4 am anyways.--og

Hi Donna:

I'm Trisha, 48 too.  Welcome to this corner of the web.  Feel free to
jump right in and give us a chance to get to know you.  Tell us more
about yourself if you'd like.  Chances are you'll meet someone who
shares at least part of what you've been disabled with.

I'm a disabled RN.  I have atypical facial pain, occipital neuralgia,
tinnitus, sensitivity to light and sound, chronic migraines,
allodynia, PTSD, OCD, generalized anxiety disorder, major depressive
disorder, and borderline personality disorder.  I've been out of work
for 2 1/2 years now and was just granted disability a year ago.  I'm
married with 3 grown kids from my first disaster of a marriage and 8
grandkds with another on the way.  I like to sew, garden, take care of
my chickens, pester my cats, and do a few other things in my good
hours.  During the bad times I just lay down and rest in the dark like
many of us do.

You'll get used to the trolls here.  Don't take them personally.  Once
in a while I'll answer back if I'm in the mood to stir one of them
up.

I need to go feed and water my chickens.  Thanks for joining us and I
hope you find some support here.  I have.
