Re: request from a grumpy used-to-be-nurse

I agree it is not important to me either, in the big picture of life there
are many more important things to be upset about then whether or not I have
to scroll. It's six of one, half a dozen of the other to me. What you say is
important enough to me that I am willing to scroll a little.

Sometimes it depends on what NG or person I'm replying to. In some NGs
they are picky about bottom posting so I bottom post there. Really doesn't
make that much difference to me. I was just make a smartaleck remark to OG
about top posting making sense and Top, me, always making sense. -)

Dear Everybody (especially the B4 Breakfast Club),

There's not enough ditto's for what Debs just said. Bottom posting is
confusing back asswards the complete opposite of progress. I know what
you wrote, you know what you wrote, why read it again to get to the new
stuff? You shouldn't have to sift through times and dates to figure out
who said what when, especially when you may be the one who said most of
it already.

Top posting only makes sense.--og

Sorry you're having such a hard time of it. I am up too. I know... it's
a HUGE surprise. My feet are really bad tonight and I am not sure why.
It's almost 2:20 am and I am wide awake. AND I always top post because
that's the way I prefer to read newsgroups. The way I look at it is I
have read the old stuff already why wade through it again?

Hope your night gets better ASAP!!

Please, my online acquaintances/buddies/allies in misery:

If you're responding to a long thread, please, please, please remove
the oldest part of the posts you're answering and leave the important
stuff there so people like me who don't always have tons of patience
don't have to spend half an hour trying to find the answer you typed,
which may be at the very end of a very long post full of very long
posts...

Please at least consider it. Lately I've just been passing them by. I
just can't make my brain work that hard.

For those who don't know how, you highlight the extra stuff and then
just hit "delete" or "backspace" and it goes bye-bye. If you read on
site like I do, only a certain amount of stuff shows up and then it's
"hidden" and you have to click on a link and then read and then click
again and it takes

just

too

long.

Okay. I'm done whining. I thought maybe I'd be asleep by now. Not a
fat chance.
