Yes. You can ask the doc ahead of time if you can ask him a question "off
the record" but I'd bet the farm that he's not going to agree to any pot
smoking, so why bother?

Medical marijuana prescribing has been sufficiently marginalized, so that
unless you're dying from AIDS or cancer you can't get the same doc that
prescribes opiates to agree to pot as well. They just won't do it.

You can always find a doctor who will prescribe MM but that's all they'll
give you. Unless you have AIDS or cancer it's an "either/or"

Anyone who is subject to drug testing will never get the same doctor's
approval for MM. Even if you get the official OK from another doctor, the
doc that requires the drug testing is not going to overlook testing
positive for pot.

Should I roll the dice and hope it won't show if I give
it a try and can avoid a urine for more than 30 days?

No.
If it works -- then what?
If you get caught in a drug test -- then what?

And based on what you've said, I don't think it's likely to give the
results you're hoping for anyway.
