anyhow as they have gutted what few comic stores that there used to be up
county. So a trip to the Barbarian and Geppi's(if they're still around on
Fention St) are too close to you not to drop in. It'll be good to kick
around the old, strange, days. We may not have been there together
temporaly, but we were there together, none the less.
The best of health to you and I promise we'll avoid the Thai place on your
block, unless you're in to Thai. I assume Tastee Diner is gone the way of
Shepard Park and the other bars of its' ilk. Morality ruins everything good.

yes, they are often willing to just 'talk' without entering it into the
paper record, but there simply isn't any way to know ahead of time how
they will react in the long run concerning herb.
'if' [and it's a big unknown if] doc is 'ok' with it, fine, but if not,
then you will forever be under the spotlight and that is when the second
guessing starts about your motives, intent, condition, et al...
you also bring up the legal issue -
our old county attorney doug gansler is now the md state ag, and that he
is known to be a tough law and order advocate on drug issues, it is
almost impossible to know how his office will start reacting to these
issues. but i am not hopeful
given your facilitation of another, and should it ever be necessary, we
have one of the more agressive legal advocates for the md law right here
in silver spring [his office is just a couple of blocks from me, and
he's in the same building as our local center for independent living]

right to totally restrict a portion of a consultation?
I can tell you guys, because I am essentially a cipher to most of you. I
want to ask about using reefer, both as an adjunct to the pain issues,
but
also in the form of an anti depressant. It has been about 25 years since
I
have smoked pot with any frequency and those few special occasions that I
have used any in the interim, they were more of a Clinton toke, mouth
full
of smoke and blow. As they saying went in my day, "You have to cough to
get
off". Not even a nose wrinkle involved.
I know Maryland has a little know medical marijuana provision, it's never
used and inspite of the legality, I am sure it would be enough to get
bounced from every pain clinic in the state.
But back in the day life was just as stressful, yet I was without stress.
I
was more creative and motivated, the complete opposite of the couch
potato
image of stoners the world sees now. I know too the product has changed.
It
may not do what it used to, in fact I may hate this new breed.
But I'd like a chance to try and a chance to discuss it honestly with the
pain doctor, but the last thing I want is an unwarranted "POTHEAD"
stamped
across my medical file when I might not even like the new crap that's
available.
So do I want to have my cake and eat it too. Is it foolish to discuss
with
an MD? Should I roll the dice and hope it won't show if I give it a try
and
can avoid a urine for more than 30 days?
I'm probably not the only one who's been wondering this stuff. So what do
you guys think? Does going non pharmacy for medication make me a bad guy
just for thinking it?
I wont hold any answers or name calling against anyone, just looking for
what you really think, honestly. Thanx--og

On a side note, am I the only one that head that the gangsta rapper
Snoop Dog is now claiming he has a valid medical legal reason to smoke
pot?? I was told he was on tv talking about his medical pot that he
needs the other day. I'm afraid sometimes these medical pot issues can
backfire on us... just imagine what some conservatives must be
thinking when it comes to the rapper Snoop Dog claiming a medical need
to smoke pot? I'm not saying he can't have a good reason, but after a
lifetime of rapping about getting high in a recreational way, it might
be a little difficult to go along with his medical defense. I wonder
if Tommy Chong now holds a medical reason to smoke bud? (Not that I
would mind).
