Ok, I was taking brand name percocet for the longest time with no squawks
from my insurance as long as I paid the extra premium. Now, they are saying
they won't cover it unless there are issues with generic. So, I have been
taking the Watson brand generic oxycodone 10/325 for BT pain.
I have noticed that after about half an hour I get these headaches in my
temples. They don't just gradually come on. It's like one second I'm fine
and the next BAM! Level 6-7 headache. I really hate to take the oxycodone
and then have to take tylenol or the like for the headache. Kinda defeats
the purpose.
Anyone else experience headaches when taking percocet? Generic in
particular. I was told by my PM that it is unusual considering that
percocet has tylenol in it. But that I should ask the pharmacy if they have
a different brand of generic(sounds weird saying that).
Thanks

HI Duchess.
Yes, I too have had headaches from taking the same med. I'm only
guessing, but from the way my body felt it seemed as though my sinuses
had became dehydrated and thus the meds caused sinus headaches in my
case. At least that was how I reasoned it out... For me personally
percocets (generic or name brand) do nothing for headaches, and just
like you, they seemed to of cause headaches. I just don't know for
sure the reason why though...
BTW: Most people consider Watson to be almost as good as any name
brand. At least Watson is generally regarded as being one of the best
generic drug makers.
