However, what I've now read says it's a common side effect (or could be much worse).
So, do any of you have experience with topamax?

O jeez (((Pat)))!!!
I would truly steer you far far away from topamax!!! Yes, it made my
vision worse, made my hair fall out by handfuls & made my body feel
horrible & didn't work at all for my neuropathy! I also had anxiety
attax (another side effect, common I think) & the kicker for me that
scared me half to death was I developed an irregular heartbeat...not
listed as side effect but if u google u see I'm not alone in that!
This all happened in the what, 2 or 3 days I was on it!!!!
Then I suppose there may be those w/migraines it may work for, but
it's another one of those terrible meds...it may have even made it on
the Worst med/ list!

WTH is wrong w/these jerk opiodphobic drs who won't just give us plain
old strong, long-acting narcotics w/o tylenol???!!! O I know, they're
opiodphobic & I live in one of the worst states for it...Wa.!!!

Well, we're fightin' this sort of thing...giving us dangerous off-
label drugs instead of safer painkillers (narcotics)!
ooops, sorry to run off on such a rant! It's just that I'm so mad at
these docs who give us terrible drugs like topamax for cp that I got
involved in doing something about changing the laws (see
PainReliefNetwork.org)
I'm really sorry to rant rant ...lol, I'll stop now, for the moment!

Seriously, don't take the topamax till u talk to a bunch of ppl & umm,
I'd print out all the testimonials & take it to that dr & tell him/her
I felt he lied to you (about not bothering your already bothered
vision!!!) ! Call him on it for me, k?
