I just wanted to give y'all my web address. I'm NOT selling anything!

Your Google ads beg to differ.

It's just my website and updates on my chronic pain issues. I'm trying
to work my frustration out by writing about it.

That's an excellent idea, because it probably will help you. But there's
no need to clutter up your site with Google ads when you're not going to
make any money from carrying them.

Not to mention that some people may consider your invitations to visit
your site to be "spam" because of the commercial connection. The best
way to get people to vist your web site is to try and make a legitimate
contribution to ongoing discussions and confine your advertising to your
"sig." Also, you should follow the USENET convention of using a "sig
separator"

That's two dashes a space and a return before your actual signature. The
reason for this is that many newsreaders are designed to cut off
everything after a "sig separator" when quoting a post so that the
advertising is not repeated in the quote.

My "sig" is an example of how it's properly done. The purpose of this
post is not about asking people to visit my web site, but the link is
there in my "sig" if anyone is curious.

These are just friendly suggestions that are meant to be helpful to you.
