And he is right. Any plan that covers all Americans by requiring them
to purchase healthcare insurance from the existing for profit
insurance companies will NOT do anything to address the problems of
our healthcare system. It could have been a republican proposal.

Maybe it is time to reduce healthcare benefits for our elected
officials down to those provided by a 20-50 employee company and make
them pay the same as if they were employed in the private sector. Of
course we also need to hide their real identity so they do not get any
preferential treatment. We would not have to wait to long for a change
in policy.

Yes, I realize that will never happen but one can dream a little....
