Surgery update, Plus a littleOFF TOPIC....so please no anger

First...In the most Important News I have to share...Dallas, my son
Andrew's best friend who is having surgery next Wednesday to repair
his 2 Aortic Aneurysms has been given an excellent prognosis by his
doctors. The most up to date news Ive gotten is the aneurysms are not
highly pronounced, so they can be repaired without replacing any part
of the artery, they can just tighten it up and add a fabric to keep it
strong. Had this been diagnosed 10 years from now it would have been
much much worse, so doctors do some very wondeful things sometimes.
God Bless Dallas and his Family, and I ask again for your prayers too,
Here's to his family having the best Thanksgiving ever!

And once again I have some less topical good news to pass along. My
oldest son Daniel 2nd string Defensive Tackle and Offensive Guard,
5'11 220lbs. a 16 yr old Junior and his team, The Mighty Mighty
Bulldogs are now in the Final Four for the 4A State Championship in
football. This Friday night they have a rematch with a team in their
own league whom they lost to in a close battle. Our boys are looking
for payback, and have been dominant in their path to the Championship,
winning our last game against a team we were ranked 10 places below by
a score 56-22. In the playoffs we are second in points scored by 2,
and first in points allowed, only giving up 34 pts in 3 games, while
scoring 125. I never ask for prayers to win, but I do pray and ask
anyone who would like to to pray there are no injuries. If they win
this game, they go to State. My wife took that day off, but it will be
a 200 mile ride. Im thinking I may ask the doc for a couple of
breakthrough meds for there and back...car ride vibration is a killer
for me, but Lord willing if they get there, I have to be there for my
son and all my extended Bulldog Family. This is my Alma Mater, and
this is the closest we've been to the big trophy since we won it in my
Senior year (Im not gonna mention the year). I have no voice left
after last Friday's game, so I havent spoken aloud since Monday so I
can lose it again this Friday.

I know this is a self indulgent post, but sometimes sharing success is
a good thing too. While going to these games hasn't helped my pain in
any way (quite the contrary) it has fed my soul with pride in family
and community, just as this group does.

Deus Vobiscum,
