Mixture of Great News and another prayer request

first the important part. My youngest son, Andrew's best friend,
Dallas Nichols has 2 Aortal Anuerysms that he will be having surgery
on Friday to repair. He is just 13 years old, and it was discovered
this year when he had his football physical, and a heart murmur was
detected (Thank God for yearly physicals) Im having strong faith in
the fact the doctors are confident enough that he is at home until
tomorrow when he cheks in to the hospital. I ask for evryones
strongest praayers, thoughts, meditations or whatever energy we can
all devote to this brave young man. Andrew insisted on seeing him
yesterday, and he wanted to go after my older son, Daniel's football
playoff game (more on that later) to report the score but it looked as
iff everyone was in bed. Andrew also plans to forgo Halloween tonight
to spend it with him. He is taking this in a more solemn way than I
have seen Andrew...even more than when his cat died last year(and that
was a biggie) Its different to see him this way, cuz I love him with
all my heart but he is one of those stubborn loveable a$$h0le kids...I
dont mean that derogatory at all, hes not bullyish, he just believes
the world hasnt and likely will never figure out everything he already
knows :) I ask for prayers for Dallas and his Family but also for
Andrew, because aside from his cat, he's never experienced a loss that
would match the magnitude of losing a best friend at 13. When we lost
French Fry (the cat) He requested my oldest son and his band write a
song about him, and he also had me call my friend who is a sports
radio announcer to do a short eulogy, which, bless him he did. Andrew
is one Im afraid will internalize and be way too stubborn for
counseling, so though Dallas is the one needing the strongest prayers,
I ask for them for my son as well.

Now on the lighter good news side. My oldest son's team won their
second round playoff game last night 41-7. This means that though they
have a short turnaround..they play saturday night at 7pm, and 150
miles away, Daniel will be medically cleared to play from his nose
surgery. I wont be able to get there for the game, but I gave up most
of my voice at last nights home game....and it will be on the radio.
The only prayers I make on sports games is that all remain healthy, a
win seems trivial to pray for...instead I just believe in the Purple &
Silver, GO BULLDOGS!!!!

Bless all of you, and thank you all for your continuing support :)

Deus Vobiscum,
-dave
