For a minute there I almost thought we were all adults here.

I apologize.

Apparently I was wrong.

The problem is not a lack of maturity. It's mental illness. Some people
here are like an exposed raw nerve and there are provocateurs about who
know how to take advantage of that.

This group has been quiet for a couple of weeks and that does not suit
the stalker who followed me over here from the webmaster newsgroup. He
is probably the one who has been making anonymous attack posts to try to
get people riled up again. After a couple of misfires, he struck paydirt
with someone who has some very serious mental health issues. She
flipped-out over a post that didn't even name her, accused me of doing
it, simply because it "sounded" like me to her, and then she posted a
huge pack of lies about me.

Now she is publicly embracing and encouraging a stalker--which would be
bad enough on it's own, but irony of ironies, it's most likely the same
person who made the anonymous posts attacking her and others.

I didn't start this, and I won't keep it going. Instead, I would like to
propose that we all agree that from now on all anonymous and provocative
posts should be ignored and that the contents of such posts will not be
given any credence by anyone. If those who are attacked in this manner
were confident that no one was paying any attention to such posts, then
perhaps they would not feel the need to defend themselves or attack
someone else, based solely on their suspicions as to who might have been
the originator of an anonymous attack.
