I'm having a problem with muscle flashes for lack a better word. It is
like it flipping a switch on and off real fast. Sometimes it will be 1
muscle group sometimes my whole body. Now I am getting flashes like a
electrical flasch throuh my entire body. The muscle flashes don't feel
like a jolt of electricity. I've had an EEG taken but will not et the
results until 6 November. My neurologist is on vacation.
Any experience with these symptoms?

Aloha Top!
I almost feel like an idiot for telling you this because I'm thinking
you MUST have thought of it yourself; DON'T wait for "your"
neurologist to get back from vacation since it is over a MONTH away!!
What you have going on in your body could be (and WILL be if left
untreated for that long) something so serious that it may turn out to
evolve into something LIFE-THREATENING!
I don't want to scare you Top and I don't think I can because you are
a smart man and could tell when/if those 'electrical flashes' get to
the point where they interfere with your heartbeat, breathing,
perspiration, bowel/bladder control and a whole host of other trouble,
you'd not hesitate to run (not walk) to the ER if you felt you
couldn't wait for an apointment. I can only guess at what it MIGHT be
and because I'm thinking the worst case scenario, I'm an "alarmist",
I'm keeping my thoughts to myself.
All I'll say is if what is happening to you was happening to ME, I'd
be at my doctors office immediately or go to the ER if it was after
hours. Spasms, especially strong ones and FULL BODY ones would have
me so freaked out I'd not even THINK of posting for "opinions" on this
board (however, it IS nice to think you put so much faith in us
members! <grin>).
PLEASE Top, don't mess with these events. our nervous system is
shorting out for some reason and by the sound of it, ANY neurologist
worth his "oats" should be able to 'see' something from your EEG. If
not, then he/she should have you go to the next test to see what the
hell is going on! Agree?
I respect you and your posts to people ever since you've come aboard
here. You give good info and try to keep us smiling. I don't want to
even have the thought of you not being here pass through my mind
AGAIN! Please Top. (Can you sense a little bit of 'begging' in my
"voice"?-LOL)
Aloha For Now,
Hawaiian Wayne
