Robin,
I agree with OG about making some noise about this...at the very least
here's what i'd do. find out the name and type of both tests and find
out the accuracy numbers on them...it may take a bit to do, but i'll
bet the info is out there. if it is strong in your favor, file a small
claims complaint in your municipal court. it use to be a maximum of
1000 dollars to be a small claim, i dont know what it is now. I would
ask for the office visit and the second test costs to be dropped or
refunded, and any time away from work. i would also make sure the
court heard how this affected you in terms of worry and ,ack of trust
in your own doctor. it wont pay anything, but it will frame the
argument.
