Pregabalin for lower back pain

My doctor prescribed Pregabalin (a seisure medicine apparently) to
treat my chronic back pain due to weight gain. However I have dropped
the weight I have gained and the back does feel much better - should I
keep taking it twice a day as inititally prescribed or should I only
take it when the pain flares up?
