Tomorrow is my day to talk to the surgeon. It may work out that I will
not need another surgery and of course that is what I'm hoping for. I'm
not taking any pain medications until after the appointment, it at 9:30
AM. I want to be sure I don't miss anything. From what I know so far
with the morphene I would be lucky to know the time of day if I took it
on the regular schedule. My son said he say me looking for pancake
batter at 4:00 AM this morning. Anyone that knows me knows I'm not alive
before 10:00. At any rate I hope to have good news within the next 12
hours.

well...how were the pancakes:-)???
seriously-did you take anything for sleep? With the pain, PLUS the
anxiety, it may have been the best thing to do. But-some sleeping pills,
most notably Ambien, in recent years, can cause unusual behavior, and some
people actually sleepwalk-when they have no history of it. Ambien never
bothered me...but years, ago, Halcion, had me doing things like this, and
more.
but seriously, good luck w/Dr. Blades. Here's hoping he won't be called
upon to justify his name-but either way, all the best.

Well I'm happy that the good lady Dr Blades will not need to sharpen her
blade for me. We went over the MRI and see explained things better than
anyone has. She said it would be a good idea to get a CAT scan done. She
says I look like a good canidate for (?)spinal cord stimulator implant.
I'm starting to do some research on that now. If anyone has any expierence
I would love to hear it.
I think the pancakes will be better on Sunday.

What a coincidence! MY doc said that he may recommend me for
one...when he upped my MsContin from 60mg 2 X a day to 3! He doesn't
want to raise it much more until he tries other treatments. There
are some people who have had this done...one is a friend who hasn't
posted n a while. Hers is almost useless-bbut I'm sure there are
others, with positive experiences. I really hope it works out,
whatever you decide.
I'm probably not going to do this, but for a different reason-I had a
bad reaction to an epidural injection. Also, some family problems
make it impossible for me to take myself out of commission for too
long. (Looks like I'm gong to be the only driver/errand runner for
some older family members, for a while.
Think about what you want to do, carefully, and don't rush into a
decision. but don't suffer needlessly for too long, either. I'm
hoping that you choose the best-after talking to other patients who've
been through this, doctors, etc.
In the meantime, enjoy the pancakes:-)
