Dear Joe,

An excellent point that's overlooked like many other issues with the
patch, like heat release, and what to do to keep the Mfing things on.
Janssen was very specific about "torso" placement only, but these are the
same guys who said "get tape" when asking about the bio-covers.
There was a CSI where they made a big deal out of a couple of teens in a
suicide pact who put one on their hands and held hands till they kicked.
If it's on CSI it's gotta be true. It was probably more the fact they held
hands and the heat release was accelerated and opiate naive children. Just
another prime time swing at pain meds. Any channel, every night. I'm sure
if we just ignore it, it will go away (Note: dripping sarcasm)

Hope your doing well, bud. Drop a line when you get some time--og

I just discovered where "NOT" to put these patches, don't use them close
to bony areas such as your shoulder edges close to the joint, knees,
wrist, etc, etc, use them where plenty of muscle is under the skin to help
adsorption of meds into your system, I put one on my outer edge of my
shoulder and it's only working about half of what they normally do
unfortunately, I guess bone does not adsorb like tissue does, yup, no
doctor here please excuse, just a thought...Joe

I've also figured out a way to reuse unstuck patches, well partly
anyway, the trick is to keep the patch down on your skin right, ok I tape
down all my patches, there's a certain kind of medical tape I swiped while
in the hospital a few years ago that works very well, ahem, more like 5
rolls, excuse, anyway, the trick is to use something that's not heat
absorbing on top of the patch about 1/4 inch thick to keep pressure down on
the patch between the tape and patch, like something plastic about a quarter
inch thick so the tape will be able to be pulled off without distroying the
"hold/press down material" paper towel will shred all to nothing when you
pull the tape off, I haven't quite figured it out what to use yet but I'm on
one of my week long # fudges if you know what I mean, ugh, I'm makeing it
fine though so this is working for me, I sweat and loose at least 3 patches
a month and save them for hard times like this week, hope this helps
someone, it sure did me, and 300mg lycria :)...Joe
