Re: Holy Crap

almost 10 years ago i was on a whale watching tour that left from
boston. i met a lady from france aboard, who was vacationing here (it
always makes laugh to think of eurpoeans coming to the US on vacation)
One of the things she told me always stuck with me, and has become
louder over time, she said " I really expected from all I had heard,
that it would be free-er here". She went on to tell me some
comparisons, and it really took me aback...and honestly it was things
i already kinda knew, but hadnt pondered much. Ive always been raised
to believe this is the best country on earth, and i still get chill
bumps at the national anthem, but i worry about it becoming rome,
especially recently. Theres no way i could afford to emigrate my
family, even if it were for the best. I too do not know how stingy, or
free other countries are with their treatment of CP. I hope and am
asking that all members from other countries chime in with their
stories. I think it would be gret reading.
