Re: waking with pain

Oh, yeah....it's an NTI...here's the site

http://www.nti-tss.com/

Google thru alt.support.headaches.migraine for some posts regarding folks it
has helped. We lost some wonderful long-timers there to this little bugger
(which is great news for them!)

time for dinner....

deep peace,
Lavon

There is a device that a doctor invented for the mouth that has worked
very well
for ppl who clench their teeth which leads to daily h/a's and/or
migraines. My brain
is dead right now but I am hoping that Lavon will see this for I am sure
she can tell
you the name of it. It helps with the neck pain also. Dang name is on
the tip of my
tongue..

I need help badly!

I have been waking up with headache, neck pain, and upper back pain
now for a couple years. I have tried everything! Went to several
doctors. I had a orthotic made for $300 for when I sleep I wear it in
my mouth to prevent me from clenching, doctors thought I was
clenching
my teeth. I have recently just started going to a chiropractor again
for a couple weeks now and it does not seem to be helping. I
purchased
a $1400 tempurpedic bed and pillow 2 months ago and those are not
helping either.

Does anyone have any ideas what I can do to stop this pain???

Ronkre,

Do you by any chance work on computers a lot? I had the same problems,
and it turned out to be related to work. I even have the orthotic
made. The solution for me turned out to be very simple--I do a set of
5 arm circles w/both arms 3 times a day. I do them backwards and
forwards. After about 3 days, I noticed a marked improvement.

I hope this helps. Daily headaches suck.

Lisa

Hi Lisa,

Yes I actually do work on computers and it's all day long. Thats my
job I do work with software. My chiropractor said it was probably the
reason also. What kind of doctor did you see to come up with a
solution?

Thanks!

Has anyone checked you for TMJ? If you grind your teeth when sleep that's
a possibilty. When you chew is there a clicking kind noise? another
smyptom of TMJ. A dentist could check it for you and if he thinks what it
is he would most likely be able to recommed someone that could help you
with that.

Just a thought long one though it may be.
