Aloha Everyone!
My wife called me from work to tell me about this aricle with several
"links" about the way doctors and the VA and the military (which
changes the way us CITIZEBS GET TREATED) are changing their thinking
about CHRONIC PAIN. I have to say I'm pleased with the MAIN ARTICLE
(even WITH several ERRORS of info in it such as Kadian coming in
TABLET FORM, uh, excuse me? I take 2000mgs a day and they are CAPSULES
with beads as the PH goes up in your digestive tract that makes only
certain ones dissolve and have no "substance that's released that
renders the drug usless for any type of "high") because overall, it
may help to get a few people to start changing their thinking about
the stigma of "addiction" being the same as "dependence" and helps get
tolerance mentioned. It isn't perfect by ANY means, however, it IS one
of the better ones I've seen.
I really wish most of you would read at least the main article which
is the only thing in this URL: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18881802/site/newsweek/?GT1=9951
(if it isn't highlighted, just copy and paste to the address bar.
I am looking forward to hearing EVERYONE'S opinion if possible
(including Juba - Hey, he IS a long time member of the group and
life's too short for negative vibes all the time-just forget it even
if you can't forgive-sheesh!).
Pardon me if this doesn't all work correctly as I don't think I've
EVER initiated an original post before. This is my FIRST starter for
me.
NOW, after reading more posts to see if anyone needs support, I'm
heading back to MSN (I put it in my favorites in case anyone needs it
emailed to them, just let me know) and check out some of the MANY
links that are with the main article.
Oh, just to let you know how little the reporter knows about chronic
pain and all that is and has been done, s/he thinks the "electronic
device the military is starting to put in soldiers that are injured on
the battlefield" is like an SCS but it's actually the PUMP...you'll
see...
ENJOY!
Aloha Just For Now,
Hawaiian Wayne
