ONE THING that does concern me is refills. Doc didn't give me refills,

more scripts but couldn't give me refills because of the DEA cracking
down.
I don't think it's legal to write refills on a narcotic script. At
least not here in New Jersey. I have to go into the office once a
month to get a new script. It's a pain, but worth it. I don't know
if this is a federal law or a New Jersey law, but pharmacy told me
that I can get a month's supply or 120 pills...whatever is less...at a
time. That really stinks. When I was taking Dilaudid 5x day, 120
pills didn't equal a month's supply. I'd run out in about 3 weeks.
So I had to go get a new script every 3 weeks instead of 4...huge
hassle. I don't know what I'll do if I get into extra high doses of
narcotics (which seems inevitable). I'll be running into the office
every week or two to get a new script...ridiculous.
By the way, how is your nausea with the morphine? I remember you were
having a hard time with that. Has it subsided with time, or is it
helped just because your taking the anti-nausea pill?
It states at the bottom of my scripts (Morphine ER/Morphine IR) that:
"Federal Law prohibits refills of this prescription" and I too each month
must take a run to my doctor just to say HI, pay my $15 co-pay and be
handed my scripts for another 30 days. Other then having to keep on
dishing out the funds for my co-pay it is well worth it.
