Boy, this does not surprise me.
I have been taking generic oxycotin. I thought I would be decent to the ins
company and get the generic and have found on 4 or 5 occasions that the
timed release of the pill waits up to 5 hours to start to release.
It is not as bad now that I take it every 8 hours as it IS suppose to be a
12 hour pill.
But when I took it 2x/day and it did not release, I was bouncing and
flopping around the bed in withdrawal.
I got angry (and who would not) and insisted that I get the brand Oxycotin.
But have run into this problem at least one time with the brand name med.
If the withdrawal was not an issue, I could put up with the pain for the
time it took, but the withdrawal is a different animal

I have been taking 15 mg of methadone for several months.
Has worked excellent for controlling my pain.
Just got my pills refilled at the V.A.
The new prescription was made by a different manufacturer
The new pills were very small and round.
the old pills were oblong and about twice the size of the new ones.
Now the problem, the new pills do not work all in controlling my pain.
The new bottle says each pill has 5 mg of methadone.
However they have no effect at all on my pain.
Now i am worried, how in the hell am i ever going to convince
those people at the V.A. that they have a bad batch of pills?
Got a sneaky feeling that they went out for low bid on these pills,
now probably myself and a whole lot of other disabled vets will
have to suffer the consequences of the low bid.
Any other vets have this problem at the Durham n. c. v. a.?
