I do not advise taking it, based on what I have be read and warned:
I only took one pill and stopped because I found a site that had a
group of people that told me this drug was hell to get off off.I cant
begin to tell all the horror stories I read about wrote by people that
tried to STOP taking this med. They talked a lot about brain zaps, and
many worse stories. I can't say first hand how bad the drug is, but I
have read about a lot of threats of a class action suit against the
makers of this drug. I'm not kidding. This antidepressant had by far
the worst/most negative comments online than any other I researched.
I'm not saying any of it's is true. I only know what I read. When my
doctor gave me a free sample I threw them in the trash and told him
why.
First hand: I had two friends given free samples and one guy suffered
angry spells while on it, and the girl starting talking out of her
head and she said she itched all over. Both of them had to stop taking
the med within one week.
I would not advise using the med until more hard core research comes
out. Google about it and see what people are saying on some sites
about it,
Just thought I'd throw in my two cents, as both Effexor and Wellbutrin
have come up for discussion in this thread;
I was given BOTH, one by a neurologist, one by a shrink (they both
knew about it, though). Once, in the neurologist's office, my heart
rate went up so high, that he didn't let me leave his office until I'd
rested awhile (I was parked less than ten feet from his office
building, and wasn't running late).
Has anyone else heard of this side effect from either drug, or the
combination?
