I just went to my pain doc (he's actually a neuro). I had to
reschedule my appointment because he's not going to be in for a couple
of weeks. I asked him if he's going on vacation. He said no, he's
"trying to hopefully take care of some of his own pain issues". He
said that they are going to be infusing him with Ketamine through an
I.V. Isn't that the horse tranquilizer...street name "special k"? I
was curious to know why he was doing it, but was afraid to ask.
Anyone have any speculation?

I think it's done for a 3 day period to let the pain "reset itself" at a
hopefully lower level. I'd try it if I could.
