Opiate's or another for Pain Management which pretty much precludes
the use of any other substances in the realm of "non-traditional"
therapies. While there are a few (very few) parts of the country that
have past Medical MJ initiatives to the best of my knowledge there are
no legal/formal avenues to obtain it or physicians who are outright
prescribing it. Therefore, most patients who are under pain
management contracts using opiates would end up pissing dirty during a
UA which would lead to them getting bounced out of the practice.
Long story short, I think most patients find it just isn't worth
taking the risk to find out if MJ is helpful to them because they run
the risk of losing their primary medication which in most cases is
very helpful to them. I know that for one I certainly am not.
