howdy folks,
I only have a minute or two. I'm OUT! LOL I broke out of the comfy jail!
I didn't bother with the morphine drip. I honestly wasn't in that much
pain.
GOOD NEWS is that the initial pain that I had when I went in is almost
completely
GONE! About 2hrs after I got out of recovery and forced myself up to go
have
a
smoke, I started to get feeling back into my left leg in the places that
were completely
numb. I did have the starting of numbness in my foot, but think thats
becasue of the
swelling going on.
My neurosurgeon came in this morning and said that I was his new poster
child for
fusions!!! And for me to follow my limitations of what my body tells me.
WHICH I AM
doing.
BAD NEWS: is that he said while he was in there that he confirmed an
absolute diagnosis
that I DO have Anykoling Spondolisis (or however you spell it) He said he
had a hell olf a
time drilling the screws in because my spine was SO rigid.
He kept me on the same drugs as I've been on. He only made about a 3-4in
cut
and used
disolvable stitches and put on sturp straps to help hold it closed. I only
lost 4tbs of blood
in surgery he said and there wasn't much in the drain he put in also that
they removed
this morning. Gave me 3 HUGE bags of antibotics and told me I was a heck
of
a patient
and he'll see me in a month for xrays/mri to see how its healing and we'll
go from there.
wanted to thank you all for the well wishes and prayers. I'll be on now
and
again, just
wanted to give you all an update that I"m home and semily resting
comfortably. LOL
like I said, almost ALL my inital pain is almost gone, only pain now is
from
the surgery itself.
which damn I'm SOOOO happy about.
Talk to ya all later... hopefully you're all painfree too!
