Re: chronic pain support group

This group, I'm told, has always gone in cycles. but I'm not
optinistic about things, now. You can write to me if you want. I'm not
claiming any moral superiority, either, but as long as you don't flame
me, and are honest, I think, with the exception of one or two bad
days(on which I probably would'nt answer at all), I can guarantee you
answers (if I can give them), empathy, and common courtesy.

But I do know what you feel...wanting to be part of a group. There are
yahoo groups-but almost all of the pain groups are moderated, and
moderators, sadly, often turn to banning people as a way to keep
control. After being banned several times, I've given up on the yahoo
groups.

There are also moderated usenet groups, which, I imagine, are pretty
much like the yahoo groups. And there's another one like this-in fact,
it's name is almost identical-alt.support.chronic.pain-just a dot,
instead of a dash.
but activity is rather slow there, and they're not immune to flame
wars.

As to the other response you got, ever hear the saying "if you're not
part of the soution, you're part of the problem?

If you can stand it, come back for the fireworks.

Either way, I wish you the best, and hope you sick around. But
whatever you decide, make the decision for yourself.

look at that title. thats what this is supposed to be.

why do i come here? simple. when i could drive, i went to a chronic
pain support group. now that i cannot drive, i need a remote solution.
so much for that.

id like everyone to imagine attending a support group where people
behave as they have here lately.

im claiming no moral highground here, sometimes i feel as black inside
as anyone. i just needed a solution, and it appears this be not it.

anyone can be a hothead, thats common. it takes guts to be gentle and
kind.
