There is no way that oxycontin is going to be taken off the market
like the oh so famous Quaaludes where. for one thing ludes where
basically just sleeping pills and anti-anxiety agents. there where much
safer and just as good alternatives to them that didnt really have the
abuse potential that they had. thats where the benzos came in. yes some
people do abuse benzos but there not exactly party drugs now are they.
all this was way before my time but from what ive heard ludes where the
king of party drugs. how much of this is real and how much of this is
just nostalgia i dont know.
Another thing is that oxycontin is one of the best drugs out there for
chronic pain. it has helped countless people who are in horrible pain
have somewhat normal lives. there are alternatives such as morphine and
the fent patch but some people dont find these work as good as
oxycontin or that they have alot more side effects.
If oxycontin was taken off the market thousands of chronic pain
patients would suffer as a result of trying to protect a few drug
addicts who will only find some other drug to abuse anyway. it would
make absolutly no sense.
As for the oxy hangover that Rack Jite was talking about i dont know
what kind of oxycodone youve been taking but ive sure as hell never
gotten a hangover off oxycodone or any other narcotic ive ever had to
take. the most ive felt the next day is abit of morning drowsiness that
can be easily fixed by a cup of coffee.
