Dear Suzan,
That is going to be one tough rabbit to pull out of his hat. The problem is
just not with Actiq which has sugars in it. Lots of things we put in our
mouths do. You just need to brush just like we all do after we eat a
Snickers bar, right?
The problem is the constant dry mouth and lack of saliva that all narcotics
cause. You could no more sue a drug company for tooth decay than you could
sue Mother Nature for sugar in apples, watermelon, and... well sugar.
Now if you can find a lawyer bringing a class action (or any action for that
matter) suit against Mother Nature, I have several cases of shoddy
construction in those of us expected to walk upright for 70 or 80 years.
It's a very poor design, with inferior materials and they knew it from day
one that it would not hold up against gravity. Now that's a lawsuit that's
winnable. I could rustle up enough saliva to testify against her, that's for
sure.
Lotsa Luck--og

I had very chronic dry mouth - the constant sucking on candies etc was
causing lots of dental problems. My Rheumy put me on Evoxac three
times a day. What a God-send! Now, I only chew gum if I want to.
I do get sweaty sometimes at night - but usually only if I don't take
the Evoxac on an empty stomach.
I wasn't on Actiq, but a lot of my medications cause dry mouth.
