some of us have found Medicare Part D plans that work. i pay 0 for
generics, and 30/60 for prefrerred and non preferred before i reach 250.00
(deductable, but not the normal definition of deductable)...then 7 for
generic, 30/60 for the others up to 3600 out of pocket for me and insurance,
then it's 2 for generic and 5% for the others... no limit on monies spent.
it costs me 61 a month for this coverage. and this is Not medic-aid.
the Formulary for this plan covers lots of meds, and if it's not on the
list, you *can* ask for an exemption, or ask that a med be put into a
different pay category so it's more affordable.
this beats the script plan i had with hubbies employer. they had limits on
the meds i take, and it cost way more than 61/mnth, and the co-pays were way
higher. so AFAICT Med-D is gonna be a help finacially around here. now if
i could get my moms script nightmare to end, but she's in NH and they are
just messing with her paperwork <grrrrrr>
