Forgive me if I'm reading this wrong, but it seems to me that the most
important issue is that LC has been through a very difficult circumstance,
one many of us will face in the future, and we're a support group. So why
are we not able to drop our own issues just long enough to ask if LC is
going to be OK? Yes, much mud has been thrown and most of us have been
victimized by said mud slinging. That just seems to pale in the face of
loosing a close friend to death. LC is mad, confused, upset, lost and alone,
except for us. Can't we transcend the bitterness we feel as individuals and
act like a group which was formed to help its members by joining together
and helping those who are in pain, whether it be emotional or physical?
Yeah, I know, I'm a real fuckin' Pollyanna, but if all we're here for is to
bitch and blame one another, I want another group. But I know you all and
this is NOT the way you are when someone is in trouble, even if it may be
someone who is a bit harder to love than others. It's still in our charter
to be there for all our members. This isn't about us, it's about LC and the
recent loss experienced by this member of ASC-P. Can't we rise above the
usual and be there for one of our own? I don't want to hear a bunch of
history about how evil LC is. I want to offer support to a wounded human
being. If there are differences to be worked out, we'll do it later. For
now, LC, I'm very sorry for your loss. I hope you feel comfortable enough to
tell us all what you've been through. We've all know suffering, so I hope
there won't be any here who would attack you for your sincere feelings at
this time.
