usually a year for non-controlled(but prescription needed) substances, 6
months for schedyle 3-5 subsances. Of course, schedule 2 can't be
refilled, and schedule 1 can't be prescribed. If it's a written
prescription that you haven't filled yet, it's usually one month (at least
in New York), regardless. But if the pharmacy calls the doctor, he has a
right to cancel it, so try to go on your former doctor's off-hours, if you
left him on bad terms.
