Does anyone have this problem? If you do, how do you keep them on?

Hi Tia,
Check out the post I put up yesterday, (Duragesic patch users having problems with adhesion)
it's about 10 posts above yours.

Don't think I am mean but in all honesty as I read some of the posts in here for my first trip here I had to delete all of them and start fresh. I think your got lost in that unfortunately. Would you mind reposting it to me? Thank you in advance.

T~

I have to say, I wouldn't blame you for deleting a lot of the posts that go on here, try to wade through the war to find the good stuff!
There are a lot of caring people here, with a lot of good advice, if you can find it between all the junk...
Here is a repost for you.

Greetings to All,
If any of you are having trouble with the Duragesic patch falling off, or
having trouble with adhesion at all, Janssen will provide
you with free "Bioclusive" transparent dressings. Just call the number on
the box label, and ask about the "Bioclusive dressing program".
They will ask for the lot numbers from your box, and put you on the plan.
They will quiz you to make sure that you are applying the patch correctly.
In the past, I have been using "Tegaderm" dressings, but they are hard to
find, and my local pharmacy wanted $65 for a box of 50!
The patches seem to stick well this time of year, but I have found them very
difficult to keep on in the summer, especially if you tend to sweat a lot.
And forget about going swimming, or a sauna, they will fall off for sure. I
don't think it is advisable to go in a sauna anyway while using the patch,
the heat increases the absorption rate, and if your not careful, it could
cause an overdose, or cause your breathing rate to decrease to a dangerous
level. The same goes for sunbathing, users should be very aware of how heat
affects how much of the medicine your getting.
I called Janssen about a week ago, and today Fedex arrived with two boxes of
50 dressings, wow that saves me a lot. When you are getting low, just call
the 800 number they will give you, and they will send out more, free of
charge.
I hope this might help anyone who is having trouble with their patches. Of
course Janseen says if they fall off, simply put on another one, but that
doesn't help
when it's the end of the month, and your short by just one patch. That will
make for a couple of crappy days, waiting to get your refill!
Peace to All,
and Happy Gobble Day!

Thank you very much. This is really helpful. I will do this right away. The darn things don't stay put.
Thank you also for understanding why I ended up deleting posts. I thought the name of this group mentioned support for chronic pain but it seems that many of the people here probably cause chronic pain, to be honest. It's nice to meet someone kind.

Hello Tia,
Thanks for your kind words, I agree, this place is "supposed" to be for support, but it turns out to be a giant crap festival.
If you fighting folks read this, here is another example of why people don't post very much, your scaring them all away!!
Isn't there a place where you can all go, and have your little *** fest, instead of stinking up this newsgroup?
I haven't been around here very long, and realize that you all have your reasons for doing what you are doing, but there must
be a better place to do it! I really don't want to go to a moderated group, but it looks like it may be the only alternative, as this mudslinging
just goes on and on and on........
Have a Happy Thanksgiving.
L A

You said that right LA. A "giant crap festival" about sums up from what I see. This "Achilles" guy is horrid.
Does he have severe mental illness that he is so mean? I'm not saying that to be mean, I just had to wonder.
I hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving LA. Dinner was brought to me so I was one of the lucky ones.

T~

Hello T,
HAHAHA, I suppose we all have our illnesses, that's why we are here. I personal do not know him, thus no comment.
Thanksgiving was home alone, snowed in, with too much pain to travel. Your lucky to have your meal delivered to you.
I hope you are well
L A

I cannot imagine snow.

I dont know if thats cuz of where you are geographically, or if yer referring to snow and its affect on pain for some of us, but I live where theres about 1/4 of an inch of snow on the groud for about 30 minutes--every 5 yrs or so--and Ive been around snow since this pain got me but good, and I can tell you that yer not missing a thing! The cold weather here is bad enuf. When Ive visted elsewhere, where there is snow frequently, the cold nearly had me paralyzed w/pain.

I really dont like summertime and allot of heat, but one thing for sure, its better for me pain-wise.

The meal was good but I wanted more. I'm as well
as I'll ever get and hope you are too.
