There doesn't seem to be much information out there, so I "Yahooed"( I
removed my google search bar, in an attempt to get rid of a virus, lol)the
name Lyrica, and the official site said that it is for diabetic
neuropathy, pain after shingles, foot pain, and some seizure disorders.
It was very vague as to how it worked.

I have diabetes, too, and mortons neuroma (a growth on the foot that can
be extremely painful, and is often made worse by diabetes). Ironacally,
my diabetes is what makes it inoperable' no less than 9 podiatristists
refused to work on my feet; even cortisone had to be used with care.

So, what I can tell you? No doctor has offered me Lyrica, and I don;t
think I'll be sking for any-I was caught up in the Rezulin scare a few
years back,so as long as they'll give me insulin, tried and true, I'll
take it, same as morphine or methadone for the pain.

At least you have a doctor who gives you some opiates-and seems to know
about diabetes. I wish you well, and hope you can get something out of
this group.
