That is semi-screwed up. Normally firearms hold their value very (if
maintained) and sell for very close to their new price. After a short
while they actually start to appreciate. This is especially true for
guns that the manufacturer has discontinued.

Her 2nd Amendment Rights hadn't been suspended. Although it probably
wasn't worth the court hassle.

It really isn't a good idea to keep unfired firearms that you expect
to fire some day. Most Semi-Autos like the Glock & AK need a couple
of 100 rounds pushed through em to get everything settled in and
firmed up. It is also a real good idea to have some level of
familiarity with them when it comes time to use them. Nothing like
pulling a firearm out of the closet and hearing a click when you go to
use it for the first time.
An interesting piece of triva; Norinco imported more MAK-90's rifles
from China then any other model of the AK type rifle or from any other
country.
