I had the exact same thing happen to me. She would nod off for a few
moments, and for the most part, I felt like I was boring her too. She would
ask me one or two questions, and I'd answer them in detail. Then there
would be silence. After the 3rd or 4th time of this, I WOKE her up and said
that I was leaving. Her billing department hadn't confirmed what my
insurance company would pay, so I told her that I better not recieve even
one bill. And I never did.
I tell *every* one I know in this area, including professionals about this
therapist. The woman was a flake!! And what pisses me off the most about
this is we have such a hard time finding the right professionals to help us.
Just this past Saturday, I r'cvd a letter of termination from one of my
therapists. There wasn't much of a explanation as to why. She just wrote
down her recommendations of how I can further my treatment. Instead of
being pissed off about it, I figure it was a door that needed to be closed
in my life. Thankfully, I have another therapist, and I find A LOT of help
in my AA meetings.
