Who said he was? A lot of private funds are going to various
organizations that are trying to assist these people.

OK, zomby, you got me to answer, but using a sockpuppet is very low; You
must have some reSON FOR N0T wanting to answer the questions aand issues
YOU brought up! I'm not even going to insult you, as it would just be
stooping to your level.

To everyone else: please don't think that you're indebted to anyone,
because they seem, or even are, helpful to you concerning a particular
issue. Not that you'r supposed to slap them around when the issue is
resolved, but try and look at the whole picture. If it looks like someone
is doing something you disapprove of, make sure first. Then, remember...we
don't all come out of a cookie cutter; there sre degrees of pain,
tolerance, ethical codes, intellegence-just about everything. A person
who started another thread was given advice that could, under some
circumstances, kill him. All because he MAY have obtained drugs
illegally.

and two of the mockers (at least) are recovering addicts! One detoxed in
a country club-type rehab, the kind few can afford.

We all are here for one reason-pain.

So, please, this could be such a great group. Not like the Yahoo groups,
where the owner can ban anyone for any reason, and don't even have the
responibility of telling the person the reason he was banned. I'm not
tying to feign any kind of authority, far from it, but maybe the more
straight-laced and judgmental people here would feel more comfortable in
such a setting;at least two who post here also post in one or more Yahoo
groups, one as an owner.

We, for the most part, are not doctors; there are a few nurses and
pharmacists here, I know; but we all sort of put ourselves in the doctor's
position, when we give advice to others, most of whom we know little about.
So, keeping the first rule of the doctor's oath, IMHO, is a good idea,
especially with people we really don't know. It's FIRST DO NO HARM. at
the very least, it can't do any harm :-)

If you find something or someone particularly despicable, maybe you should
us the killfile, or, better yet, read their posts without responding, at
least for a while. You may find their actions weren't so horrible as you
thought, that they were in a one-time bind...or that you misunderstood
from the start.

And, we all have different opinions; few advocate being the doctor's or
government's slave-and haven't just about all of us advocated the
decriminalization of marijuana-at least for medical purposes?

I came to the group just to answer one post from one person(dr. spuds) who
isn't even here anymore.
but I stayed because I, slowly but surely, found some of the support I
needed. Now I see it falling apart again. Please, before you jump on
someone, remember that there are as many values as there arre people, you
aren't required to interact with everybody, and, it would'nt hrt
to...FIRST DO NO HARM!!!
