I've been sick for a few weeks. Feeling better in the daytime but fever
and chills and shivering at night for a couple of hours (not every night).
In the wee hours this time it lasted several hours, until daylight.
Finally gave in and called my daughter to take me to emergency. Found out
it's bacterial pneumonia and only antibiotics will work. I was given
Augmentin and am to take them twice a day until they are gone. If I get to
feeling worse in spite of them I'm to head back to ER.

I kept putting off going figuring, since I felt more or less ok except for
having to cough to clear my lungs and sinuses hurting and clogged up in
the daytime and the fever and shivering wasn't *every* night, that I was
getting or at least going to get better. Nope, wasn't happening.

I'm my own worst enemy. I could have been getting well weeks ago. Looking
back I've probably had this since mid (or even early) June. I had the
fever and chills one night and woke up drenched but felt ok that morning.
That was probably the beginning and that was early in June.

I've been told to rest, stay hydrated, and take the antibiotic.
