This is a staph infection SJ so be very careful to clean the area and wash your hands carefully so it doesn't spread - either to you or to Jim.
One non medicinial thing you could do that might help is epson salt baths and warm compresses regularly using clean hot cloths (I would take some cheesecloth or some such thing and make bandages and then bleach and hot water them afterwards and rinse well and dry.) I would do it as often as you could during the day to see if you could dry/shrink the area. The boils can cause fevers/chills so that could be part of it especially if it is a staph infection causing them.
Macrobid is a good bladder uti med. Hopefully the antibiotic won't be too much this week. It is really important in this case.
Will be thinking of you. For the elbow, ice (I know you don't do well with it but it will help) with a cloth around so the area doesn't get too cold. Rest, ice, gentle exercise (very gentle - like maybe going through ranges a couple of times a day until it is a little better) and the tennis elbow strap. those might make a difference. If you can handle gentle massage with cream might help the blood circulation a little bit too.

elbow is tendonitis. that is the good news. at least now I know for sure what that is. He couldn't seem to find the bump lump area I was talking about and without a mirror I couldn't show him.
the boil issues/virus
I need surgery and don't have the money for it. It is a plugged sweat gland that needs to be removed. shoot I don't even have the money for the antib's. Last time it was 87 a couple of weeks ago. We will see what this one will cost me when Jim goes to get it filled. so the dr said since I can't afford the surgery, they will just have to keep treating the outbreaks with antib's.
he still doesn't know if it is the virus/boil that is causing the feverish/chills stuff.
So I am kind of upset that I might continue to feel like I am right now. So that part wasn't hopeful to me at all.
I do feel for these drs when I come in. I am such a hard case to treat at all. First I don't have money. Second with all my med problems they have a hard time finding something to treat me with. I am allergic to all antib's except the clindamyacin one they are using on me now and some kind of bladder one that I think is micrabid or something like that.
Then there is the elbow he wanted to treat me with motrin or some kind like that. Can't because of my bleeding from aspirin. So they do get as frustrated as I do.
