I guess it is more common than I had thought. My sister (who has MS
and some other things) once had a crisis at night. I had never
heard to much belching and farting going on non stop. After a
couple of hours it became apparent that things were not settling
down so we got the ambulance in to take her away and wound up with
an emergency gall bladder removal. We fed her on the recommended
diet until she got sick of it and started complaining so we added
things back in to see what was tolerated, which turned out to ge
more or less everything.

There used to be rules on things you could not or should not eat after
gall bladder removal. They are pretty much a waste of time.

Yes, you will have more digestive problems without a gall bladder than
you had once upon a time with a healthy one. You might have to take
steps to avoid gas and a really high fat meal could make you
uncomfortable. But that was most likely true before.
