If I understand, this is sheer stupidity on their part. The doctor
does the retest, right? So they don't gain anything.

It has to be as frustrating as all get out. For you and for everyone
else. It isn't like folks who need oxygen, need to be out running
around town having to prove it every few months.

Are they a part of a bigger company, such as a franchise? I'd
certainly be complaining to their headquarters if they are.

There should also be some sort of medical care oversight group as a
part of the state too. I just don't know what your state would call
it.

Its costing Medicare extra for all the extra testing, too. But I
really doubt you would find anyone there that gives a &^$%@.

I have been having an incredible amount of trouble with my
Oxygen/DME
company and have decided that they need to be reported to some one.
They have been jerking me around for the last 4-5 years now. They
say
they lose my paperwork that shows I need the oxygen, so then I have

go do all of the breathing tests again. This has probably happened
about 5 times over the last several years. I just did all the
retesting on july 29th and august 19th, and they called me yesterday
saying they didn't have any paperwork on file for me and could I

go do the breathing tests to recertify that I really do need to have
oxygen. Well, crap, what the heck are they doing with all my
paperwork
every time I give it to them? My lung doctor is also not real
happy
that they keep calling him when they lose the paperwork to tell him
I
need to retest! Since it is the first of the year and I haven't
even
begun to meet my deductibles or out of pocket expenses, I will have
to
pay this all out of pocket which I can NOT afford! This should not
be
happening and certainly should not have been going on for this long
of
period of time. I was foolish to think that they could actually
get
their act together at some point!!!

I, of course, will go do the retesting as I don't have much choice
in
the matter, but will also be changing oxygen companies and reporting
the
old company to some one, just have to figure out who to report too.
Any
suggestions or ideas?
